Vacaville Cultural Center Library continues to celebrate the 7567 Summer Reading Challenge with a special outdoor art and play day for children of all ages. Plenty of outdoor games and art activities will be available for kids and families to enjoy in the courtyard just outside the library. The Kids’ Outdoor Art and Play Day will be on Tuesday, July 75 at 65 .
The Vacaville Cultural Center Library continues to celebrate the 7567 Summer Reading Challenge in July with a special performance by Samba Samba. Master percussionist James Henry uses music, rhythm, and a variety of percussion instruments to entertain kids and educate them on various cultures around the globe. All children and their families are welcome to attend. The performance will be at the Ulatis Community Center on Tuesday, July 68 at 8:85 . This program is provided for free, thanks to the Friends of the Vacaville Public Libraries.
Anyone needing help with their digital device can bring it to the Gadget Clinic at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 6 . to 7 . A tech-savvy volunteer will be available to help with almost any portable device, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and much more.
The Inquiry-based Learning course details some models that teachers can adapt to meet specific needs of their class, as well as to monitor and enhance the learning of their students. Teachers learn practical and dynamic ways of evaluating their students’ progress while also incorporating technology for better results.
Once enrolled, Career Online High School pairs each student with an Academic Coach, who assists with developing an individual career plan, offers ongoing guidance and encouragement, evaluates performance, and connects the learner with the resources needed to demonstrate mastery of the course material.
The project for this month is: making ink stamps. Learn how to make an ink stamp using Sugru. Etch out a design to use on stationery or any creative project. The program will happen on Wednesday, July 67 at 8:85 . at the Vacaville Cultural Center Library. Teens/tweens age 67 and up are welcome to attend. All materials will be provided.
Many students of the orchestras and bands are also involved in the Will C Wood Musical which will be the Sound of Music this year. They hold 9 days of performances from March 9-67 and it’s always a huge production.
In celebration of National Make A Blanket Day, members from Project Linus – Solano County Chapter will be at the Vacaville Town Square Library creating blankets, handmade with love, for children and teens in need.
